Hormel Foods Corporation Names Marsteller Agency of Record For its Internet Design Business
AUSTIN, Minn., Jan. 11, 2007 – Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE:HRL), one of the nation's largest manufacturers and marketers of consumer-branded meat and food products, today named Marsteller its agency of record (AOR) to lead the development of a renewed Internet presence for the company. Marsteller is the global advertising, design, interactive and production agency of Burson-Marsteller – a leading global public relations and communications consultancy and the current AOR for corporate and consumer brands at Hormel Foods.
"We value and trust in our partnership with Burson-Marsteller and we look forward to an expanded relationship on the interactive front with Marsteller," said Julie Craven, vice president of corporate communications, Hormel Foods. "Marsteller's re-design of the corporate Web site and brand sites will be another step toward strengthening Hormel Foods' brand and image as a company of quality and innovative products."
Marsteller will conduct varied interactive activities including redesigning www.hormel.com and three brand Web sites in 2007.
"Marsteller and Burson-Marsteller have worked together on several other projects to support Hormel Foods this past year," said Erin Byrne, managing director and head of Marsteller's Interactive Division. "We are looking forward to working with Burson-Marsteller even more closely to give Hormel Foods an online presence that stands out from the rest of the industry."
Marsteller enhances the successful relationship begun in October 2005 when Burson-Marsteller became Hormel Foods' AOR for corporate and consumer brands. Managed by Client Leader Bryan Oakley, the team has worked to build Hormel Foods' corporate and consumer brands, revitalize its image with key stakeholders and lead media relations for the entire Hormel Foods portfolio.
