Marsteller Opens in Milan with a Global Success Story

On March 13, Marsteller officially opened for business in Milan. Even prior to the opening, though, Marsteller Milan had successfully completed an important project, working with Marsteller New York for Tenaris.

Tenaris had been a global brand name for the products and services of an alliance of companies that manufacture high-tech pipes for oilfields, refineries and industrial use. In November, Tenaris wanted to consolidate the participating companies into a single entity under the Tenaris name.

That required winning the support of shareholders of the separate companies, primarily in Italy and Argentina.

Marsteller Milan developed a campaign to explain the exchange offer and urge Italian shareholders to participate. The same campaign was adapted for use in Argentina. Shareholders responded just as we wanted, and on December 17th Tenaris made its debut on the Milan, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and New York Stock Exchanges.

Like other Marsteller offices worldwide, Marsteller Milan is in the business of telling the corporate stories that win over shareholders, financial analysts, customers, business partners and employees -- or all of them at once.

Massimo Rosa, Director of Burson-Marsteller's Corporate Communications Division in Milan since 2000, will serve as Managing Director of Marsteller Milan and can be reached at massimo_rosa@it.bm.com.
