Marsteller Taps D.C. Ad/Marketing Veteran Chad McGinnis to Lead Washginton Office

WASHINGTON, DC September 29, 2003 - Marsteller, the advertising and creative services affiliate of global PR consultancy Burson-Marsteller, has tapped industry veteran Chad McGinnis as a director and head of its Washington, D.C. operations. The firm also announced that it has added advocacy advertising to its suite of products.

McGinnis, 37, was previously vice president of Smith & Harroff, Inc., where he helped build the firm’s advocacy advertising practice, creating award-winning print, radio and television campaigns for clients such as the Nuclear Energy Institute, National Restaurant Association and American Forest & Paper Association. He also created campaign advertising for Republican political candidates and party organizations. His work for the National Republican Congressional Committee helped the GOP retain House majorities in the 1998, 2000 and 2002 elections.

“We are very pleased and excited to have Chad take the reins of our practice in this critically important marketplace,” said Andrew M. Nibley, Chairman of Marsteller. “He will dramatically enhance our ability to meet the advertising, interactive, production and collateral design needs of our varied clients in the market.”

“Chad brings a unique background combining public affairs, advocacy advertising and political campaign media,” said Burson-Marsteller Public Affairs Chairman Richard I. Mintz, “I believe he has the perfect skill-set for client needs in the Washington market.”

McGinnis, his wife and two children live in Arlington, Virginia.
